This website focuses on the design, construction and maintenance of concrete pavements for Australian conditions using Australian practices, terminology, standards, test methods and specifications.  The aim of the site is to provide students and practitioners a ‘one-stop’ site to access information on concrete pavement design, to diamond grinding specifications and typical issues on construction and maintenance of concrete pavements.

Every effort is made to ensure the documents are current and those documents that require payment will be directed to another website.

A ‘great’ concrete pavement design takes into consideration a knowledge of the vehicle and climatic loadings, jointing layout, foundation support properties over the life of the pavement, subsurface drainage, access to materials, specifications and consideration of the delivery of construction.  Not addressing one or more of these design elements may lead to early distress of the pavement.
